European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA), with the support of Central European Initiative (CEI), organized an international seminar on 20-21 June 2016 in Skopje on the topic “Co-operation and good governance, with migration in western and central European countries”, in which the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights took part. Seminar was an opportunity to exchange different experiences and examples of good practice between the professionals from Central and Southeastern Europe in the field of local governance and active citizenship, cultural mediation and humanitarian relief.
In the course of the second day of seminar, Centre’s researcher Nikolina Milić spoke on the topic of immigration as an opportunity for local development and programmes for social inclusion of refugees and effective intercultural dialogue, aimed at improved integration of refugees in our society.
