Lawyers, political scientists, historians, economists, experts in international law work dedicatedly to improve knowledge in the field of human rights and humanitarian law, to educate and raise citizens&#8217; awareness of the importance and scope of the idea of human rights and individual freedoms, and to create a climate for their full appreciation. In this work, we are always inspired by the words of Vojin Dimitrijevi\u0107, professor of law, founder and long-time director of the Belgrade Center for Human Rights:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;The struggle against the reign of terror must be waged by the brave and the dignified people within each community&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">From Vojin Dimitrijevi\u0107 book \u201cReign of Terror \u2013 A Study on Human Rights and State Terror,\u201d which is just as topical today as it was when he wrote it in 1984.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The team of the Belgrade Center for Human Rights is composed of 30 people dedicated to the same goal &#8211; establishing, nurturing and developing a culture of human rights, democracy and civil society in Serbia.
