{"id":9366,"date":"2025-09-09T15:23:30","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T14:23:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/?p=9366"},"modified":"2025-09-09T15:23:30","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T14:23:30","slug":"training-on-employment-of-foreign-workers-for-employers-held-in-kraljevo-and-subotica","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/en\/training-on-employment-of-foreign-workers-for-employers-held-in-kraljevo-and-subotica\/","title":{"rendered":"Training on Employment of Foreign Workers for Employers Held in Kraljevo and Subotica"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Serbia, and in partnership with the Responsible Business Hub and the Regional Chambers of Commerce in Kraljevo and Subotica, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights organized two additional trainings on the employment of foreign workers for employers \u2013 on 2 September in Kraljevo and on 4 September in Subotica.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9351 media-9351\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250904_110601.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The aim of the trainings was to provide employers with practical and useful information on the procedures for employing foreign workers, potential risks and obligations, as well as to encourage the exchange of experiences and good practices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9347 media-9347\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250904_114656.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this way, companies were empowered to strengthen their capacities for the employment and integration of foreign workers and to develop sustainable and inclusive business practices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9349 media-9349\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250904_111946.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The trainings brought together employers and company representatives who already employ or plan to employ foreign workers. More than 30 employer representatives were trained at the local sessions.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9343 media-9343\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250904_131149.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The training program covered three key areas, adapted to the local context and the needs of employers:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Legal and administrative aspects of employing foreign workers (Dr. Mario Reljanovi\u0107, Institute of Comparative Law);<\/li>\n<li>Due diligence and the employment of foreign workers: obligations and risks for employers (Neboj\u0161a Luka\u010d, attorney at law);<\/li>\n<li>Integration of foreign workers into the workplace and community (Jelena Ili\u0107, Belgrade Centre for Human Rights).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"post-9359 media-9359\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250902_112819.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Through an interactive approach \u2013 including lectures, discussions, and the exchange of experiences \u2013 employers had the opportunity to address administrative procedures, practical obstacles, as well as ways to improve the integration of foreign workers into local teams and communities.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9357 media-9357\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250902_112828.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With four successful trainings held within the project \u2013 two in Belgrade and two regional ones in Kraljevo and Subotica \u2013 a total of 80 employer representatives from different sectors have been reached. This series of trainings demonstrated that there is a significant need for support to companies regarding the employment of foreign workers, particularly in the areas of legal regulation, administrative procedures, and worker integration into the workplace.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-9361 media-9361\" class=\"align-none\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250902_112717.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Positive evaluation results and the active participation of employers confirm that such trainings contribute to better awareness, greater readiness of companies to respect human rights, and the development of sustainable and inclusive business practices.
