{"id":9696,"date":"2024-05-30T11:39:49","date_gmt":"2024-05-30T10:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/?p=9696"},"modified":"2025-11-17T11:42:30","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T10:42:30","slug":"building-digital-democracy-bchr-and-share-mentor-eydr-research-teams","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bgcentar.org.rs\/en\/building-digital-democracy-bchr-and-share-mentor-eydr-research-teams\/","title":{"rendered":"Building Digital Democracy: BCHR and SHARE Mentor EYDR Research Teams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On 29 May 2024, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) and SHARE Foundation delivered an online mentoring and training session for young researchers from Albania and Montenegro within the project <\/span><b>\u201cYouth Participation in Digital Democracy: From Digital Skills to Digital Rights of Youth with Fewer Opportunities in the Western Balkans\u201d (EYDR)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, funded by the <\/span><b>Erasmus+ Capacity Building in the Field of Youth<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> programme. The activity was organised under <\/span><b>WP2 \u2013 Mapping Youth Participation in Digital Democracy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Task D2.2 <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peer-to-peer learning and research design<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and coordinated by SCiDEV as the lead partner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The session gathered research teams from Albania (SCiDEV, ESN, CCIS, National Youth Agency) and Montenegro (UZOR). Building on a joint PowerPoint presentation prepared by BCHR and SHARE, the training focused on strengthening researchers\u2019 skills in <\/span><b>research design, use of mapping tools, and the structure and publication of the final report<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the workshop, BCHR and SHARE presented and discussed different <\/span><b>data collection methods<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to be used in the project, including surveys, focus groups, interviews with youth leaders and experts, and the use of case studies. Particular attention was given to how these methods can be combined in a coherent research design, and how they relate to the overall objectives and indicators of WP2. Researchers were encouraged to raise questions and reflect on how to adapt the proposed tools to their national contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The materials and methodology developed by BCHR and SHARE were designed to support researchers in implementing their specific tasks in WP2 \u2013 designing survey instruments, conducting interviews, developing case studies, and organising focus groups. By providing clear guidance and examples, the training aimed to improve the consistency, quality, and comparability of research activities across partner countries, and to ensure alignment with the project\u2019s timeline and deliverables.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The meeting concluded with positive feedback from participants, who highlighted the usefulness of the practical guidance and the opportunity for peer exchange.
