#RaznolikoOvoliko Programme Rallies Youths from Nine Serbian Towns

“Diversity, openness and meeting new people” are the main impressions of the participants in the #RaznolikoOvoliko (SoooooDiverse) training held in Vrnjačka Banja on 26-30 August.

Twenty young people from nine Serbian towns attended a set of workshops during the five-day training, learning about discrimination, bias and stereotypes, familiarising themselves with the legal aspects of discrimination and mechanisms of protection against discrimination and deepening their knowledge of the rights of vulnerable, marginalised and minority groups.

The trainees also had the opportunity to investigate the topics of (in)equality, and social (in)justice through applied theatre techniques and our Idilikus game.

The participants did not just attend the workshops. They also actively contributed to the development of a manual on the recognition and prevention of discrimination with their comments and designed various digital contents.

The training was conducted by BCHR associates within the #RaznolikoOvoliko Programme, which aims to educate and empower youths to fight against discrimination and to acquire the skills and knowledge they need to promote equality and fairness.

The #RaznolikoOvoliko Programme’s full name is “#SteppingStones to Youth Diversity in Serbia: Empowering Youth with Knowledge, Skills and Protection Mechanisms for Anti-Discrimination” and it is implemented by the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights with the financial support of the European Union.
