The interactive theater performance “Tenderness, the Last Word of the World – A Community Diary on Extremism” explores extremism and its root causes, seeking to understand the radicalization process that particularly affects young people. The performance raises questions about femicide, Islamophobia, xenophobia, pervasive violence, and entrenched radical narratives in everyday life. It emerged from a months-long dramatic and research process with a group of young people.
The premiere took place on November 29, 2023, at Dom omladine Beograda (Belgrade Youth Center), followed by performances on December 4 at the Novi Sad Theatre and December 11 at the Centre for Cultural Decontamination. Additional performances are planned in Belgrade in the spring of 2024.
The performance is implemented by the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights with the support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Belgrade.
