Jelena Ilić, Coordinator of the Asylum and Migration Programme at the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, took part in the event “Spark of Hope: Stories of Women from Ukraine in Serbia,” organized by Nitna and Komunikacije promene on October 19.
During the panel discussion, the film “Towards a Better Tomorrow: Women on the Move” was screened, sharing the Belgrade Centre’s experiences in supporting access to economic and social rights and self-employment for refugee women from Ukraine. Our brave colleague Elvira, a refugee from Ukraine and one of the film’s protagonists, now employed in the social enterprise Women on the Way, also spoke on the panel.
We are always glad to share the stories of refugee women we work with — women who inspire us every day and make our society more inclusive.
