Open Call for Youth Rights Talks #DođiTuSmo (Come We’re Here)

The Belgrade Centre for Human Rights Youth Programme invites young people to apply for the eighth Youth Rights Talks, which will take place on 19 November 2025, starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Human Rights and Democracy House (Kneza Miloša 4, Belgrade).

The goal of the event is to provide young people with a platform to freely express their views and opinions on current social issues—to hear their perspectives, ideas, initiatives, and personal stories.

This year’s central theme is the right of young people to freedom of assembly and association. The past year has been marked by mass protests and civic uprisings across Serbia, during which young people have clearly shown their desire for a society based on justice, solidarity, and accountability. At a time when the space for free gathering and expression is shrinking, Youth Rights Talks 2025 opens space for dialogue, reflection, and joint thinking about ways in which young people can unite and act together for social change.

YRT2025 focuses on youth activism through student and civic movements, local initiatives, and new forms of resistance—viewed through the lens of safety, mental health, and resilience. This year we will discuss how solidarity, togetherness, and collective care become the foundations of the struggle for freedom and the right to association.

The call is open to all young people who wish to participate as speakers or as part of the audience.

Applications are open until 14 November 2025 at 5 p.m., via this LINK. Selected speakers will be notified about their participation no later than 15 November 2025 at 11 a.m.

More information about the event, the application process, and the speech guidelines is available HERE.. For any questions or additional information, contact us at: youth@bgcentar.org.rs
