Memorial lecture in honour of Professor Vojin Dimitrijević was held on Thursday, 5 October 2023 at the Human Rights House Belgrade.
The memorial lecture, entitled “75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Genocide Convention” was delivered by William Schabas, professor of international law and international human rights law and an expert on genocide crimes and the death penalty.
With this event BCHR commemorated the 11th anniversary of the death of Vojin Dimitrijević, a law professor, public intellectual par excellence, prominent champion of human rights and democracy and longtime Director of the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights. The lecture was supported by the European Society of International Law.
