Constitutional Position of Prosecution Service – Analysis and Proposals for Amendments

The aim of the project was to prepare an analysis of constitutional provisions regulating the position of the prosecution service in the Republic of Serbia with recommendations aimed at improving its position and independence in the new Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

The analysis was produced with the help of experts from different fields, namely Dr. Bosa Nenadic, Judge of the Constitutional Court of Serbia, Dr. Miodrag Majic, Judge of the Appellate Court in Belgrade, and Goran Ilic, Deputy of the Republic Public Prosecutor. In order to involve the expert public in the analysis process, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights organized four round tables in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Nis, where draft of analysis was presented and amended based on comments and suggestions by the participants.
