The Rainbow Migration Network, a network formed by 16 civil society organisations in December 2022 , has been awarded the GIZ Gender Award.
The GIZ Gender Award was presented on Friday, March 8th, at an event in Berlin, noting the significance of the Rainbow Migration Network and network aim to provide various services to LGBTI+ refugees and individuals on the move, while advocating for the improvement of protection and equal opportunities for these groups of people.
The Rainbow Migration Network was among the awarded teams in the field of gender equality in the Western Balkans. The RMN network, consisting of 16 civil society organizations in Serbia, is coordinated by BCHR and is funded with the support of the German Cooperation in Serbia (GIZ).
The RMN network, established in December 2022, comprises organizations with significant experience in providing support services to LGBTI individuals, as well as support services to refugees, asylum seekers, and individuals on the move.
