Geneva Academy Students Visit the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights

On 22 June, the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) welcomed a group of 23 students from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

The visit was initiated by the Geneva Academy students as part of their efforts to deepen their knowledge of international humanitarian law and to visit Belgrade in light of its rich historical heritage.

During the visit, the students met with Dušan Pokuševski, Programme Director at the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights, and Petar Vidosavljević, Legal Adviser in BCHR’s Asylum and Migration Programme.

Over the course of a two-hour discussion, the students learned about the Centre’s long-standing work and experience in the protection of human rights, asylum and migration, international humanitarian law, the prevention of torture and ill-treatment, and legal education, with a particular focus on human rights and international law.
