Breaking Silence: Youth Mobilization for Gender Equality and Violence Prevention

Donor: The project is implemented by the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights as part of the project “Stop Violence – Achieve Equality”, jointly carried out by UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, and UN Women in partnership with the Government of the Republic of Serbia, with the support of the Government of Sweden

The project aims to empower young people and strengthen the capacities of local youth offices to promote gender equality and prevent gender-based violence in Serbia. Through a series of educational activities and campaigns, the project creates a safe environment where young people can engage, lead initiatives, and become advocates for positive change in their communities.

The highlight of the project is the implementation of local initiatives, led by young people in their communities with the support of youth offices, as well as the final presentation of the handbook and project results, aiming to engage key stakeholders from institutions, media, and civil society.
