The project aims to strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations for documentation, legal processing and advocacy against torture and systemic impunity. Through the planned activities, special focus is placed on improving the knowledge and skills that are necessary for effective action in cases of human rights violations, as well as on establishing sustainable mechanisms to support victims.
At the same time, the project aims to strengthen citizens' awareness of the harmfulness of excessive use of force through a media campaign and direct legal and advisory assistance. Through individual consultations and strategic legal initiatives, citizens are encouraged to recognize misuse and use available protection mechanisms.
Additionally, by using existing international mechanisms and cooperation with relevant institutions at the regional and global level, the project will contribute to strengthening the responsibility of domestic authorities in the field of human rights – in a way to encourage the obligations of the state, as well as the consistent application of international standards and legal frameworks in the fight against torture and impunity.
